Before manufacturing
Review the order requirements and engineering package before production. Resolve discrepancies, control the manufacturing data and verify incoming materials before they are used.
During fabrication
Controlled instructions, equipment management and in-process inspection support the approved manufacturing requirements. Quality control is distributed across the process rather than confined to final inspection.
Before shipment
Final inspection and release checks should align with the order. Specify acceptance criteria and requested records during quotation. Review the testing page for the purpose of individual bare-board inspection methods.
Connect quality requirements to the order
Quality requirements should be visible in the fabrication package and quotation. Define what is to be checked, the acceptance basis and the records to be supplied. A general quality statement cannot replace an agreed inspection requirement.
Evidence to request for your supplier review
For a regulated or qualification-sensitive project, identify the actual evidence your organization needs. Certificate scope and validity, material records and project-specific test documentation must be checked on their own terms. An industry application listed on a website is not evidence of an industry-specific certification.
- Applicable quality documents and their current scope.
- Agreed revision and approved engineering clarifications.
- Material or construction records required for the order.
- Inspection and electrical-test requirements.
- Procedure for proposed substitutions or changes.
